About the Trust, this blog and contacting us

Welcome! This blog has been set up to give information about the New Zealand Ministry with the Deaf Trust.

Overview: the Trust and its purpose
The Trust was registered in New Zealand as a charitable trust in March 2007. It has since been registered by the Charities Commission, CC23473.

The Trust's purpose is to establish and support Methodist and inter-denominational ministries with the Deaf. These ministries will encourage spiritual exploration and advancement, fellowship and community among Deaf people.

At this time the Trust is working to build an endowment fund. The interest earned will then be used to finance a range of Deaf ministry projects. The Trust could also hold funds donated for specific purposes that are compatible with its charitable aims and objectives.

Because it seeks to become a funding body, the Trust does not intend to provide services directly or to become an employer.

Please email the Trust with your comments or questions.

Leave a legacy

Leaving a gift through your will is a practical way to support Deaf ministry in New Zealand. Please consult your legal advisor or adapt the following wording for a general bequest:

"I give and bequeath to the charitable trust called the New Zealand Ministry with the Deaf Trust the sum of $........ or ……..% of my residuary estate or the balance of my estate or ……………………. (state assets) for its endowment fund and I direct that the receipt of any officer of the New Zealand Ministry with the Deaf Trust shall be sufficient discharge for my trustee."
